Next Generation JobZone Advisers are available for appointments if you would like information, advice and guidance on any aspect of learning and/or employment options available include:

Basic Computer Courses

If you have limited or no computer skills this is the course for you. Our advisers offer you friendly help and advice to get you up and running within two short sessions, after which you should have the necessary skills to send emails, use universal jobmatch and type a letter confidently. The learning package also allows you to continue to use via the internet on your own computer or library, friends if you do not have your own.

Every Wednesday & Thursday from 1.15pm to 3.15pm, commencing Wednesday 1st August 2018.

Writing an Effective CV

Understand the importance of an effective CV. We will help you to lay out an attractive and suitable CV.

Job Search

Using the internet an adviser will show how you can look for jobs nationwide and see what jobs are currently in demand locally.

A Careers Health Check

This involves an in depth discussion to identify the customers current skills and note any gaps which need to be filled. This may involve the use of the Skills Diagnostic Tool an interactive web based programme developed by the Skills Funding Agency.

Advice on Training and Education

An opportunity to discuss any training you may need and to look at the opportunities available.

Advice on Occupations

You can explore the routes into different career paths which provides in depth information on what certain careers involve, what qualifications/skills are required and how much you could expect to earn.

Skills Accounts

JobZone advisers can support customers to open a Learning and Skills Account. This enables customers to access the Skills Diagnostic Tool independently, research training opportunities, and talk with advisers online up to 10pm week days and 8pm on a weekend.
