Alliance for Voluntary Arts

Next Generation supports  AVA (Alliance for Voluntary Arts),  a network of voluntary arts groups from across the Wakefield district. This network includes choirs, drama groups, photography clubs, crafts groups, bands, writers groups, festivals, painting groups and more.

These groups, run by volunteers, provide a fantastic range of art activity in their local communities, year in, year out.  From an afternoon of friendly crafting to a night out at a musical, they provide countless creative opportunities for people to enjoy, either as participants or members of an audience. Together they touch thousands of residents in our communities.

Based with Next Generation at Lightwaves, AVA aims to support and promote the activity of these groups and so increase opportunities for more people to take part in the arts. It maintains an online Directory, a website and organises events to bring groups together.
